Group Project Slides

Abstract:

These slides are intended to present a group research project held by me and my class fellows at the City College of New York. The purpose of these slides is to show us: what is antibiotics resistance? When do we need antibiotics? Who should take antibiotics and who should not? How bacteria develop resistance to antibiotics? What are super-bugs? Examples of antibiotics resistance? And lastly, the methods to prevent this issue? The solutions and recent development regarding antibiotics resistance by researchers? Bacteria have developed resistance to antibiotic medicines, which has lead to serious health consequences and untreated patients. This research was conduct to find solutions to the problem of antibiotics resistance and to find how bacteria’s develop resistance. Though antibiotics resistance has lead to some serious health conditions and diseases, still, the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not purposed any solution to this problem. In 2015, the FDA made a 5-year long national action plan regarding the problem of antibiotic resistance, and will most probably introduce us to a solution by 2020.
